Claude 3 from Anthropic is finally available in Europe, and I am impressed by the quality of the responses. I uploaded a slide set and asked Claude to create a script for my students. The result, even from the limited free version, is remarkable. However, the outcome doesn't feel like "my" result, and I don't have an emotional connection to the text. This could be beneficial, as it motivates me to write the text myself, but it could also be a limiting factor, potentially leading to wasted time. I'm seeking the sweet spot in this dilemma. If this development continues at the current pace, its impact on academia will be both profoundly positive and alarmingly disruptive. It is undoubtedly a call for change in my profession.
